Mission
The mission of the Nevada Board of Dispensing
Opticians is to protect the public’s health, safety,
and welfare by effectively regulating the practice
of Opticianry.
Funding
The Nevada Board of Dispensing Opticians is funded
from license fees collected from opticians and
apprentice opticians.
The Nevada Board of Dispensing Opticians does not
receive funds from the State General Fund.
Licensed Nevada
Opticians
Opticians licensed in Nevada are specialized health
care practitioners who design, make, fit, and
dispense prescription spectacle and contact lenses
for the correction of a person's vision.

the status of an optician or apprentice optician
license.
